Delete your Fit Nomads account
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This page is about the Fit Nomads app account you create to log your food, training and travel. You can delete it yourself, from inside the app, in about a minute. If you no longer have the app, one email does it instead. You do not need to sign in anywhere to read this, and you do not need to ask permission to delete.
In short: in the app, go to Profile → Account & units, scroll to Your data, and tap Delete my account and data. No app any more? Email support@thefitnomadsofficial.com from the address on your account with "Delete my account" in the subject. Either way, cancel your subscription first — deleting an account never stops billing.
1. Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open the Fit Nomads app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile, then Account & units.
- Scroll to the Your data panel.
- Tap Delete my account and data.
- Read what it tells you, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Erase everything.
It happens immediately, while you wait. There is no undo, and there is no waiting period in which you can change your mind, so take a copy first if you want one (section 5). You can only ever delete your own account this way.
If any part of it fails, the app tells you rather than claiming success, and gives you our email address so a human can finish it.
2. What deleting removes
Deleting removes your account and your synced data from our servers, the copy on your phone, and the native backup copy, so nothing quietly restores itself on next launch. In practice that is:
- Your account itself — the sign-in identity, not only the data attached to it. You cannot sign back in afterwards, because there is nothing left to sign in to.
- Your synced app data — food and drink logs, weight and weigh-in history, workouts and personal records, habits, streaks and badges, your targets and settings.
- Your profile, including your name or handle if you set one.
- Your community tips, and the votes and reports you left.
- Your cached weekly roundup.
- Sanitised parser diagnostics, if you ever opted in to them.
- Your coaching records, if you are a coaching client — your private coaching message text, the stored audio of your coaching voice notes, your progress photos, your coach-assigned workouts and habits, check-ins, resources, appointments and goals.
- Everything stored on your phone, including the backup copy the app keeps so your data survives a reinstall.
After the deletion runs, our server checks the database again to confirm nothing was left behind. If something was, you are told plainly and given our email address, rather than being shown a success screen over data that is still there.
3. What we keep, and why
This mirrors section 14 of our Privacy Policy, which is the full version.
- Short-lived backups. Your account and synced app data go when you delete them, subject to short-lived backups of our database, which age out on their own.
- Transaction records. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted or anonymised. We cannot delete these on request, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
- Crash reports. Kept in our server logs for a short operational period.
- Meal photos, DEXA images, booking files and voice-logging recordings. These were never kept as app history in the first place. They are processed for that one request and not retained. Retry audio held on your phone is deleted automatically within two minutes. Coaching voice notes are different. Those are stored as audio files and kept as part of the conversation, and they are removed when you delete your account.
- Coaching safety and dispute records. If you reported a message or a coaching dispute is open, we keep the narrow record of it for as long as safety or the law requires, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
If you also bought coaching through this website, or you are on our email list, that sits outside your app account. Email us and we will remove that too, other than anything the law requires us to keep.
4. Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. The two are separate, and billing carries on until you cancel it where you bought it. Cancel first, then delete.
- Bought through the App Store. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, choose Fit Nomads, then Cancel Subscription. Apple controls App Store billing, and refund requests for those purchases go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Bought through Google Play. On your Android phone, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Fit Nomads and tap Cancel subscription. You can do the same in a browser at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- Bought on this website. Email support@thefitnomadsofficial.com with "Cancel" in the subject and we cancel it, within 2 business days and usually the same day. Our Cancellation Policy has the detail.
If you have already deleted your account and you are still being charged, email us and we will sort it out.
5. Take a copy before you delete
If you want to keep what you logged, export it first. In the app: Profile → Account & units → Export my data (JSON). That gives you one file with everything the app holds on your device, including your permission records. Once your account is deleted we cannot get any of it back for you.
6. No app? Delete by email
You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to reinstall it, to have your account deleted.
- Email support@thefitnomadsofficial.com from the email address on the account. That is how we know it is you.
- Put "Delete my account" in the subject line. You do not need to give a reason. (Our Privacy Policy calls this a data request, and either subject reaches the same inbox.)
- We confirm within 2 business days and complete it within 30 days. In practice it is usually much sooner.
We will tell you if we have to keep something for legal reasons, such as invoices. If you cannot write from the account's address, email us anyway and say so, and we will find another way to check it is your account before we delete anything.
7. Questions
Anything you are not sure about, ask before you delete rather than after. support@thefitnomadsofficial.com, and a human replies within 2 business days. Your other rights over your data — a copy, a correction, restricting how we use it — are set out in section 15 of the Privacy Policy.
